I was introduced to Firefly through a friend, and it was an instant favorite show of mine. I'd have to say my favorite characters (seeing as I can never pick just one favorite) are Malcom, River, Shepard, and Kaylee. Favorite quote? Easy. I have it as a ringtone on my phone ;)

There are too many great ones to pick a favourite! But, since you quoted 'Safe', I'll throw in:
