I have to work two jobs now and when I do get some time off I try and say hi to them but they either dont reply at all or say "hi, skyrim" then go back to another 12 hour gaming session, fucking hell it's a game, have some actual interaction peoples! X.x *sighs* heck, have work in 20 min, JOYYY

That sucks. Skyrim looks cool, but I don't game for long periods, maybe 2-3 hours, and get bored. I much rather be talking to my boyfriend, and my friends than playing video games 24/7

I think I can safely say that this is why I am not a gamer. I value the camaraderie over the obsession/bandwagon.
So, they still haven't added "Favorite this journal" to the UI yet? This one would be in my collection.

This is another reason im not getting it for a while. The only reason i kind of want it now is cause i can have a gay Argonian and the fact that the game is a little bit more open minded now.

Agreed. I somehow have 70+ contacts on my IM's but its rare for me to ever manage to talk to even one person due to either that stupid game or the other equally bad ones (from my point of view) that have come out lately such as MW3 (or should that be modern fail 3, idk).

Yeah I heart this journal. Luckily my best friends dont own it or have enough control to get off. I mean games are great but the way people obsess over them now is beyond unhealthy. I wont be touching skyrim til its 30 USD or less myself but i very much prefer social interaction > games.

saddest part? i know a few people who now live out on the street due to their gaming addictions. sad eh?

Getting a Steam account would help with their lack of being social with you, the game can pause and it's not hell to alt tab into otherwise, so you can do it that way. =3 if they have the 360 version then they probably wouldn't be on at all though. =\ but i know how you feel, I've got both Skyward sword and Skyrim to play in my downtime.

You know, I play games a fair bit but I still interact with people, even while gaming. There are programs for such like Xfire and Raptr. There's also this thing called pause (well, in single player games anyways).

I gave up a while ago, my mate is a huge fan of the series. I decided it wasn't such a bad thing to watch and its the only thing that gets him off the computer.

I've played the game myself, but only for an hour or two. It's not that addicting to me. In fact, it's not as deep as a lot of people claim it is. It's pretty and the world is suppose to be more fleshed out, but in the end, besides some crafting, you're just doing a lot of killing.
