A hi-def TV is essential for a PS3. Too many gamemakers nowadays no longer even consider the possibility that people are using SD TVs with their PS3s and XBoxes.

Hey! That's messed up cause I still use an old TV with the RF switch to play my games and it's still quite good I'm not tossing out my old TV just for the sake of a new HD TV which I find a bit over rated!

Sure. So far all I have is skyrim and Castlevania

all three uncharted games, all three resistance games, god of war collection and god of war 3, sly collection, infamous 1 and 2, metal gear collection and metal gear solid 4, ratchet and clank future tools of destruction, ratchet and clank future a quest for booty, ratchet and clank a crack in time.

also Sony made an HD television just for the Playstation that supports 3D and its only about $500 if your interested in upgrading. and just so you know games no longer support SD televisions because no one makes SD televisions anymore.

Score and a half on the PS3. The text thing is a real problem, especially with Fallout 3. The ratchet and clank games are good. Also, I'm not sure if PS3 buddies can be added across regions, but I'll give you three guesses what my name is on PSN. The first two guesses don't count.

If you want a difficult, but great RPG, there's Dark Souls.

Try Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 it is awesome and you can hear the voices of the original characters in Japanese too among other great games for it

Make sure to hook it up to the internet as well and sign on to the Playstation Plus program. You can find some nice downloadable games as well as some PS1 classics, including some imported ones too.
