Don bluth craze

i'm going through one of those nostalgia kicks where i delve into a world long lost in my early childhood. I only wish i could enjoy it again...
next best thing.. don bluth. Don't think he was a furry necessarily but he did a ton of beautiful artwork from some of the worlds best cinema and hot damn there was fuzzie wuzzies in it all along!!
It makes me long for the time of the age... i enjoy super cyber worlds of porn and all this good ol technology...but i can't help think i would have been happier if it were 1995 right now. Anyone get this way sometimes? not really that the economy was better or anything.. but LIFE just seemed worth living back then it's cause i was a child and of course things were more innocent back then and even though school was miserable, i had so much fun! If i had the appreciation of media i have now back then... life was just so magical! and i've always been enchanted by the works of don bluth!
I despise the garbage they call family entertainment these days...
DB's animation was so beautiful so magical and look at the equivalent now?
Compare Anastasia to barbie faery princess >.>
Compare all dogs go to heaven to these one-shot straight to dvd sequels of cut rate disney films
...
look i'm not trying to complain now. I'm just a little crestfallen
On the bright side.. i get to watch these movies with a WHOLE new UNIVERSE of understanding and wonderment! I can see the magic in a whole new light and honestly i know how fruity i sound! i don't care it MEANS something! it's special and it's back when every picture was drawn by hand and a real story was told! It was true beauty!
on the dim side, the media empires today are so saturated with overmarketed toyselling crap that no one wants to make a beautiful story anymore! they exist but go unnoticed! the cult hipster crap is just as bad too! alice in wonderland remake wasnt brilliant! it was designed to sell hats at hot topic!
and even though it falls into the toy selling category.. The princess and the frog was a lovely throwback to a better time of storytelling and animation and if you felt any magic like this as a kid you'd be blown away!
I'm not saying all movies today are bad i love alot of them and i could talk on end about them!
and i'm sorry to infer my distaste for media i actually love it.
The point of this journal is to revel in the beauty that once was SO common and plentiful and i'm actually THANKFUL i can still enjoy them.
I just wish i had someone here to enjoy them with.
but it's not time to be a father yet >.>
but you can be DAMN sure of 2 things!
1. if i DO have children.. they will be raised on these.. not dora the fucking kid who's parents let her run out into the wild without parental supervision and with wild animals!
not baku-buy5$marbles-gan! and i think they'll have a much better imagination for it.
and 2. The day we no longer have Mr Bluth will be one of the saddest times of my life.
(also please keep your "gtfo-ver it" or "quit your whining " posts to your goddamn selves this time. if you don't agree, you don't have to read it, it's not like i'm passing laws here!
Ill call you an asshole by name and remove your comment so just keep it pleasant and uninsulting, youre more than allowed to disagree with me and tell me so, but i'm averse to being inflammatory about it. (not like 2 people will read this anyway)
anyway finals in 8 hrs wish me luck!
Thank you

i have noticed a difference between the so called newer and better cartoons compared to the old school hand drawn animations.
detail.
the old hand drawn cartoons had tons more detail in the drawings..and the new cg cartoons severely lack in that department....it makes NO sense!
parents are so pissy about content in cartoons today... they have been watered down so much they just totally suck.
iv'e given up on new cartoons..i have started collecting the old series i used to watch..i'll stick with the classics.
