Ok, now that I am back from seeing my Dad, I can has internets again.

I really want to say thank you again to everyone who helped me go see him. He's living in a rehab facility and they are trying to get him to build up his strength despite everything going on with his health (Cancer, kidney failure for 7 years now, heart problems...). That.. is sadly unlikely. He can't even fully raise his head on his neck any more. He's in almost constant pain and the pain meds knock him out shortly after he takes them.

I got to see him though, to talk to him, hold his hand, and give him a hug. He knows how much I love him and that I do intend to try and go see him again if he makes it through the holidays. Exact dates haven't been talked about, things are still unpleasantly grim despite everyone's hopes.

If I can snag a copy of it, I will share the christmas photo we got with him with us all in front of a tree. (Well most of us, two of my siblings, my sister in law, and my niece.)
