Concerning the IM front, this is about the most common thing amongst...well, almost anyone, at all, ever. It took an astounding amount of nerve for me to psych myself up to talk to angrboda for the first time, and to this day, I hesitate whenever contacting her (or most of the artists I know!) 'Is what I have to say interesting? Compelling? Am I witty enough to capture this artist's attention, or am I another obnoxious fanboy in a sea of annoying fanboys?' Usually, I convince myself that, no, whatever I have to say is not interesting enough, and the artist will never, ever know how close I came to lavishing them with compliments.

Of course, (nearly) every single time I bring this up with artists, they tend to tell me 'dude, I just draw people turning into animal people. Sit down. Relax. Talk.' This was why I was so bewildered for the first...couple of hours with you and angrboda, because you two seemed like witty, charming folks who had cooler people to hang out with.

But, considering this journal, it's apparent that it's all relative! You always seemed pretty relaxed and easy to get along with at conventions, and I honestly have wanted to say 'Dude, hey, if I'm in the area during one of my many road trips, could we hang out?', because you always just seemed so...relaxed. I mean, sure, you complained about the problems of life here and there, but it was always good-natured 'But yeah, y'know, that's how life goes'. Otherwise, you were talking and laughing and telling stories, and trying to go between Starpaw and Fuego and me and Nyomi and...good lord, there were like a dozen people who all wanted to talk to you at once!

Anyway, yeah, I always thought you came off as pretty easy to get along with. The kinda guy I'd say 'Oh yeah, that's Therian! He's chill, just strike up a conversation.'

Hrrrm well yer an incredibly nice person. Despite us not talking on AIM in ages you still remembered me and you were very friendly. <3
I'm gonna be sure to bug you more during MFF next time though. :3 I was still getting used to the con myself hehe.
