Went on a convoy yesterday; was pretty much uneventful. Caught like 4 hours of video on my little camera, but didn't catch anything interesting. This place is barren, the living conditions are terrible, most of the kids flip you off and some actually wave, the people drive mad crazy out here and one actually hit one of our LVSRs carrying two full ISO containers (not something a smart person would pull out in front of), then after that someone reported over the radio that a midget was throwing fruit at us; we all LOLed. Another thing to notice is there's a blown up vehicle (all civilian) on the side of the road like every 2 miles, so it seems almost like their IEDs blow up their own people more than they do us, but we do get hit a lot.

We got there, passed out in the truck for the night (my back will never forgive me), did some firewatch, woke up, helped with a few small things, then everyone waited for 3 hours for our trucks to be loaded, then we finally headed out. Pretty much uneventful, but at least I got to see some of this country (what little there is to see).

Maybe I'll get to see more next time on one of th elonger runs if I can get on one.
