Okay, I'm trying to teach my mom about the fandom so I can go to IFC this year (my first con) how can I do this with out her finding out about all the yiff and other things and flipping out. Even though I am 18 and she can't really say much but I'm the youngest, so she treats me a bit more like a kid. Any websites that clearly explain what "furry" is in a clean way would help. Thank you so much.

Wellll, I'll do some digging for you. IFC is also a very family friendly convention, so if she doesn't feel comfortable letting you go on your own, she can get a day pass and check it out then go on her merry way.
