We don't have the capabilities or equipment to host everything in house. We have to use someone else's server.

So we have no idea when it will be back up hu?

Poor performance by your hosting service imho.

In times of virtualization and cheap disk space there should not be any reason to go offline completely for more than 4 hours max...

Usually when a host goes down, you get some kind of "server not found" or "configuration error", errors in the 500 range. This looks like your entire filestructure has just been emptied, and the rest of the server is working fine. Can you give us more info?

The site, all game content, and all of our code is intact. Our host at prime.gushi.org is also non-responsive. I've contacted support and I'm waiting on a response. Yes, this does seem a bit odd, I myself am not a web architect, so I'm not qualified to give any kind of diagnosis. However the people that I rely on to get the job done know their stuff. I can assure you this issue is being handled as quickly as possible. No one at HTH Studios likes it when the site goes dark for a week for no reason. It kinda gums up the works.

Totally hear you there, I work websites and servers for a living and I know how they can go haywire. If you need any outside expertise or a temporary host, don't hesitate to PM. Hope it gets worked out soon.

Dunno if it's any help, but I use Dreamhost.com for the Legend of Krystal site; they've turned out to be brilliant as bandwidth is now unlimited (not that I ever hit the old limits anyway) which is great since the LoK site has increased in activity by nearly 500% since last year! Just in case you're considering alternatives!

hostgator is also offering unlimited bandwidth for about $10/mo, and their support is phenomenal - we've been using them at work for over a year now, and we've never had a downtime of more than an hour.

So until then, how about a round of auction sketches. Maybe some new character previews.
