1.) Would it be better to start off making a canine fursuit or a feline fursuit as a beginner? o:

Its hard to say. Long dog muzzles can be hard to get right, but useful in the future if you plan to make more canines or open for commissions.

2.) Where is a good place to order faux fur from?

All over the internets! Im in Australia, so i avoid buying fur from international sites, but im pretty sure distinctive fabrics is where almost all people in america order their fur :)

3.) Is it ok to start off making a head with moving jaw, or do you think its better to wait to make a normal non-moving jaw? xD

Defiantly start with static jaw. Moving jaws are extremely hard to make if you have no idea what your doing, and even then, they are hard to perfect. Heck, MixedCandy and other popular people stopped offering moving jaws simply because they could never perfect it.

4.) How do you know what size to make a head?

I dont know about other people, but when i make fursuits, i just kinda go along with it and not plan too far ahead. It probs isnt a smart idea, but it works. I make my heads with a balaclava base and fake head head, so it does make it easier to figure out.
You could get a a picture of your head, straight on, and draw red lines over where or how big you want the head to be in comparison with your body. :D

And yeah, simple is probably better. Heck, my first fursuit was a plain white wolf XD But yeah, simple characters are probably better when your trying for the first time as you still need to get your head around cutting out patterns and ect :)
