i've been willed a giant catfish

well not willed. more like had it dumped on me. it used to be my stepfather's, but he's apparently sick of it.
the thing is ten years old and somewhere between 9-12 inches long. its species is a Featherfin Squeaker. he sent a tank...but the tank is filthy, covered in dust, and in pieces in the basement.
i tried to rehome the fish through a giant fish forum, but the person who said he'd take it flaked out last minute several times in a row and everyone else wanted us to drive it all over creation to their homes for no compensation.
so it looks like i'll be keeping it?
currently it's dwelling in a bucket by the kitchen radiator. i've bought some aquarium sand and a large filter, and tomorrow will set about Deep Cleaning the tank it came with.
the honest fact of the matter is i'm a little concerned about putting together a large tank. i may run some sort of special limited commissions in order to get the funds to put more of the tank together. i'd like to put some plants and a heater in there eventually, as well as find a new aquarium hood (the old one appears to have come in about 300 pieces, and i'm not sure if all of them work) but uh

but then i learned it had a name, and that just makes it difficult to eat anything i don't know for a fact is 100% delicious.
