It's now the year 2012 here in Melbourne, Australia. Happy New Year! As usual, there were a couple of neighbours who had illegal fireworks. One nearby really outdid themselves this year with quite a spectacular display. Perhaps not quite as amazing as the show that they put on in the city, but who wants to fight an enormous crowd and transportation problems for a mere ten minutes of fireworks? I was quite happy with what we got right here.

This year looks like being pretty tough for me financially, but due to the help of some very good friends, I am keeping my head above water, and still managing to visit America again in June. I want to put out a special thank you for those people. I am humbled by your generosity, and proud to call you my friends.
