New Year, Old Goals. O.o
I think I’m the only person on FA who hasn’t done a “Happy New Year” journal. So … Happy New Year!
For anyone still keeping track, you’ll notice that I posted no new chapters to World War Fur this past year (although I did slip in a collab preview drawing). The lack of new posts is not for lack of interest, since I’ve been writing all year – just at a snail’s pace due to life, work, and a lack of discipline. I was really hoping to start posting the first chapter of Book Two starting this month, but the three aforementioned distractions have reared their disruptive heads once again.
I have every intention of completing the book, and should have Book Two ready for a regular posting schedule in a month or two. In fact, if I can effectively kick myself in the ass to quit squandering the bits of time I do have and get enough written, I may start posting in February. I have 8 of the 12 chapters done, so that may be enough lead-time to stay on a weekly release schedule. (words of encouragement would not be a bad thing here *hint hint*).
So, although I’m not stating any real “resolutions”, I do plan on striving to regain a degree of control over the randomness of life this year. I have to admit that I allowed myself to slack off with the excuse of some serious personal problems – many of which were financial – but that is no longer the massive weight that it was (yes, there was a bit of goodness towards the end of 2011). Once I get my head back out of OhMyGodSTRESS mode, I should be able to redeem my old levels of productivity and write like a happy otter should.
My thanks to those of you who have followed my writing. May we all have an awesomely productive and prosperous year!
