Let's all applaud Obama's signing an END to the Bill of Rights, granting the US Government the ability to arrest and detain ANYONE, for ANYTHING, WITHOUT due process, WITHOUT legal council, WITHOUT explanation OR need to provide evidence.
The US Government now holds the power Nazi Germany did.
Obama was supposed to implement change...but damn it...that change was supposed to be PROGRESSIVE!
In addition to signing the NDAA, he's also signed himself OUT of this year's elections.
Supposedly the Supreme Court can countermand this law...supposedly. But fuck it, WILL they? When in the US it's MONEY that buys laws.

While I am inclined to believe that this law was intended to be part of some counter terrorism bill, I find it quite frightening. A law like this is rarely left alone to function as intended, such power is doomed to be abused.

It WAS designed to fight terrorism, but the wording in the law gives the government power to do whatever they want, even in cases where its NOT about terrorism.
