It must be emphasized that:
We are not an official Church of Satan group. We are not here on behalf of the Church of Satan. We are not a "Satanic Community."
We are a group on FurAffinity that are made up of individuals who follow the Church of Satan and the works of Anton LaVey. There's one thing I can't stand, and that's Pride. Now, I feel pride myself, and in a lot of cases, pride is well deserved! However, there are many cases where I don't agree with the pride people YELL about!
This kind of Pride is those people who post those ridiculous ASCII images of things saying stupid slogans of "FURRY AND PROUD" and all the millions of others I see.
I'm going to steal a quote from a friend of mine's Steam page, as it sums up exactly how I feel:
Pride = Accomplishment. Like that Shelby Cobra you backed into "on accident" or that dude you beat up that was twice your size. Not what you are.
Now, take into account Satanic Statement #8:
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
Pride is a sin to Christians, and that is something I certainly don't agree with.
I think to sum it up; be proud when pride is deserved. You don't need to be proud of your sexuality, you don't need to be proud of your hobbies, but be proud of your accomplishment!

Yes, facing discrimination is shit. And you can feel pride for overcoming it. But people who intentionally put it out there have nothing to expect BUT discrimination; it's like saying "Oh, I know that eating this raw chicken will give me salmonella, but if I get over it I'll feel really awesome"
Whew, had me worried for a moment. After just doing the fascist thing, I wasn't in the mood for another debate. Especially with someone I agree with.

Except on some far-east and far-south countries, where luckily it's still decreasing too. But, for most of us, and specially for most of FA, it's pretty much counter-productive if you want your so-called "equality"

I have to agree with the general message though. Those ACII text things are fucking obnoxious on top of it and since that "Pixelr" or whatever site started going around, where you put a pic in and it turns it into obnoxious text art, whenever I click on anyone's page all I see is this blob if unreadable overcoloured garbage. It makes me twitch every time. Fghjs.

pride is a game, and you cant play all the time. not intended as the truth, just less maintenance than what you said. *reads other comments now*
