So apparently people can post smut, crap, and doodles on notebook paper, as well as photos of their front steps, but I get a submission taken down because it included plush that I own? I'm sorry but this is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. This site is really starting to Piss me off. I have a lot of great friends here and the community for the most part is pretty cool, but the way this site seems to be moderated, organized, and run seems a bit juvenile to me. One of the pics in question was similar to: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6608770/
It was an artistic pic where i had set up lighting, and posed my new baby kitten with the three hyenas that someone on this site Bought me in exchange for an art commission. I decided in return to take some cute artistic shots of the gift and our new baby. It was moved to scraps later to organize my gallery as best as I can on this site, and has been there for months, until today I received this note:
Submission removal: Hyenas and new member of our family
"Manufactured/Collected Items - Photographs of manufactured items ("things I own...") which you have not personally developed and created are not permitted, unless the object exists in an artistic setting. This includes items such as DVDs, games, toys, guns/weapons, cars, computers, plush/inflatable animals or objects, posters, etc. You may post photographs of commissioned items, so long as the title and/or description credits the artist/creator."
ok REALLY?? That wasn't just a candid shot of cheeze-its or something stupid it was an artistically composed picture of some stuffed animals I received that I am happy about with my kitten interacting with them. I would call that humorous photography and art. I am pretty P.O.d over this. ESPECIALLY seeing some of the crap that clogs the pores of the front page of this site most of the time.

It's all arbitrary. All it takes is one troll who feels like causing trouble. He/she can just report one submission from your gallery and blam! Without any warning, it's gone.
Now I'm going to go on both sides of the fence here, since I've been on both sides:
Mod Side:
It -is- listed as against the AUP, and even though there's a set amount of admins, they don't see everything. They rely on what they see, and people reporting items to go for it. They also have a hard time managing the "photography" section since that entire mod team left (they were from Furocity from the merge, but quit because of how horrendous it is.)
User side:
I see where you're coming from entirely, I'd be pretty angry too but the most you can do is just really get on with everything. What you can do to help make sure those stupid photos are removed that other people take up, is report them. Open a trouble ticket and get to work! I open like 5-20 trouble tickets a day, lol.
Again, moderating like crap isn't really their fault. 20 people moderating a site of a million users is pretty tough. Could they add more people to help? Yes. Could they make the rules a little clearer? Absolutely. But you also need to remember they're volunteering their own free time to do this, they aren't paid a penny.
I'm not trying to defend anyone here, I'm just explaining for informational purposes.
Sorry to hear they did so. (lol they weren't even consistent with such seeing as how the other is still there, figures). Hopefully it gets resolved.
So, I'm on the fence about the whole thing. :/ Sorry to hear it happened to you.
