I dont know if you've noticed any of this from some journals of artists youre watching or shit like that but I find it kind of sad when people will shell out their money just because the artists asks for donations. I have absolutely nothing against the artists themselves, hell, if I could draw id be asking for donations too. But I just find it absolutely stupid how people just give their moey away like that. I bet you if I asked some furs around here and was pleading that my life is terrible because I cant pay bills and all im eating is ramen, NO ONE would give me anything.
What are we talking about here for this donations thing?
Like..If the artists typically charge very little then I wouldn't mind.
And are you saying it's just some non-artist popufur asking for money?
And say it's a someone who draws a comic strip that's popular or something like that and you wanna see it keep going or things like that etc..
Just saying, if the artist does a lot of free or cheap work, it's not unreasonable to ask fans for a contribution so the work can continue
Also, if you're being such a realist, Because they can.
And it depends on what you mean by 'throw away'. Like I said, they could just be financing something that they enjoy, call it an investment.
Like investing in a TV show to keep it from getting cancelled or something.
