Sky Lantern Tribute

It's 4AM now as I right this journal but its something that Ive been meaning to get off my chest and now that we was able to perform the Sky lantern tribute with
eynkiwolf help its finally done and over with.
As for some of you may have heard, a recent friend of mine had passed away. A close personal friend, not just to me but also a well loved mate to another, a passionate hard-working individual that was well recognized and respected by his fellow peers, a teacher and mentor to those work-related and personal...This is a soul that, to me, should be honored.
We had met a couple months ago when I had posted a journal stating that I wanted to woof with some new faces and sure enough he had found me. To our surprise, we had actually met before long ago on an acquaintance level on another website but then we just drifted into our own separate ways...only to come back and talk again as of recently. we had shared what had happened in between our departed section of our lives and it was great to share and learn from another on the same aspect. We exchanged wise teachings to one another and he ultimately helped with me to see some things in better perspectives. In my personal book, he's helped out a lot...
When E and I had stepped outside to get ready to set the lantern up, all I could think about is seeing his wolf spirit run across the plane he roams now...and I still feel and think the same now. As I looked up into the sky, there were no clouds, no planes, nothing to disturb the sky and this moment with and I felt blessed that this moment was given. Seconds later, I had pulled out my phone to play a song I thought would fit the moment very well which was your hand in mine by Explosions in the sky then We had positioned the lantern, set the base on fire and within seconds, we can feel it lightly tug at our fingers wanting to be free and drift away into the night.
and then we let go...
we watched the lantern float up quickly and within seconds it was high enough to where it blended with the night sky, the stars and the full moon. In my heart, the lantern represented my friend and his love for his mate and as we saw it fly across the moonlit night, I couldn't help but cry. As simple as it was, it meant so much to me to see it go. I wish for his soul to rest in peace, I wish for his spirit to live strong and free, and I wish that his love for his mate lasts eternally. Minutes pass on by as E and I just watch the lantern fly off and that bright flame that we had started out with had dwindled into a sparkle, a tiny star, that eventually disappeared...
As we walked back home all I could think about, especially after the holidays, and after all of our recent findings of loved ones or close ones passing away...Spend the time with those you love. Make the moments count where you can laugh with them, where you can argue, where you can learn with them. when and where you can ultimately be alive and live for the moment. Your friends, your family, your loved ones...
Love and live with them. Cherish the time you do have with them, before its gone.
Rest in peace wolf-brother. One day we'll run together.

Sky lanterns are awesome!
I live every day to the fullest, because you never know when your time is up.
That was touching. Very nice Tribute.
