I've had several good artists watch me too. Though that only seems to have happened since I watched them (Or at least I hope they're not expecting a lot more art...). You could always do what I did and just not say anything. Seems to have worked for me so far. ^_^

Don't forget that no one is 'better' than anyone else- it's just a matter of how much experience they've had behind their belt and how they put their mind to the paper. With that in mind, you can always comment enthusiastically and then add "I don't mean to come across as a stalker and realize I might sound like one"- that lets the artists know you're aware of how you're coming off, that you're trying to fix it, and it reduces your creep factor. :)

Have more confident and be yourself. Unless you're trying to get someone to RP, draw your character, or fuck you, you can't manage to scare someone off easily. I've had my share of people doing just that, and I'm not nice enough to warn before blocking (you probobly know who you are).

So yeah, don't reply to anybody at all! Sure, you may look like a jerk/douche, but at least you'll not let them know how much you like them!
Furthermore, fi they contact you presonally to tell them that you had nice stuff, make sure to sweat for days and panic about what to write to them.. make sure to overanalyze everything nad come up with a super-wordy e-mail so they will go crazy reading your carefully-worded text!

Just say what ya feel. If other people judge you for it, or think they know you when in actuality they know nothing about you (especially if they would judge you so poorly to think you were a stalker) that's obviously their problem to deal with. *hugs* Don't have to worry about that with me, I know the kind of person you are ^^

And that's why I'm glad I'm not one of 'em! =D No one has a hard time talkin' to me, which is just fine. But seriously, I used to have that, as well, until I just realized that talking to them as if I've never seen them draw before was just the ticket. Once you keep away from that for a while, it builds up a good cushion and you can comfortably converse on a criminally copious cornucopia of car-crashing creativity!

What?!? Stalker? Ha! Im not hard to talk to at all, I like ppl giving me an IM fron nowhere, saying hi and talking to me, im usually cheery and think greatly when others take the time to try as im usually shy about it, and im sure alot of ppl are liek that so no need to think all that way. :D
