A job interview... and Gargoyles-comics

General
I have a job interview tomorrow and am a little fidgety about it. Too fidgety to stay alone at home... so here I am, back in the internet café. I actually shouldn't do this because there isn't much money left in my purse for this month... but what the heck, I can't roleplay Scrooge McDuck all the time. Anyway, wish me luck for tomorrow. I might need it. *~*
Today also arrived that “Gargoyles”-graphic novel/reprint of issues #1-#6 I ordered a few weeks ago and completely forgot about by now. Anyway, it was a nice quick read on the bus... and that's one of the reasons why I had some problems with it. Well, it's nice to have a continuation of the story after so many years, but it's just so... dunno... superficial and lacking in depth. What I loved so much about the TV show were the characters, the dialogue, the storytelling... and these are the things which were running a bit short in this volume. :-/ Most of the pages consist of large pictures with small text bubbles... and the result of it is that there isn't much development, neither plotwise nor regarding the characters. For the most part it's merely events on a string, and there's not much meat between them to hold them together. It just didn't make much of a lasting impression on me and I'm afraid that I forgot most of what happened by the time when the second volume comes out.
Re: “forgetting” ...I also noticed that I got a little rusty when it comes to “Gargoyles”-trivia. Back then I watched the episodes until my face turned blue and even wrote loads of fanfiction (*blushes*), but I have no recollection whatsoever of this Judge Roebling-guy. Seriously, who is he?! Same goes for Dr Sato. But at least his face and name felt familiar. I just don't know in which episode or storyline to put him.
But well... one way or another I'm a little disappointed. *sigh* I would have preferred it if Greg Weissman had written novels. But I guess you don't get too many comic-fans (which are, when it comes down to it, the actual target audience) to sit down and read a book. Or it's at least what the publishers like to think.
Tomorrow evening I'm going to see “Sweeney Todd” with some friends. Let's see how that one is going to be and whether it was worth the wait.
And... what have *you* been doing? Especially the ones who still haven't replied to my messages and PM so far? *coughcough* I'd really love to hear from you guys. ;)

@"tut schon fast weh": Hehe, dito. :D War auch so mein erstes Internet-Fandom. O( Uff, 10 Jahre ist das bereits her... Grausig, grausig... Wo ist die Zeit geblieben?
Und "knuddel" passt scho'. :3
