well done you self absorbed peice of shit!
This is different.
It's not that gay marriage is illegal.
What the thing says is that you can't travel to Canada to get married..
I think.. o.o;
Yes, that's just not right. It's stupid! Is that the best you can do with your majority, Mr. Harper? Get out of Sussex Drive!
Can't complain too much though. o.o; The world IS moving forward. Not too much longer now before everything is a bit more "liberal"..
That's fucking garbage.
I'm tired of living here in the US!

OMGOhNoes!
This is so stupid. If 2 people are in love, and over 18, why couldn t they get maried? It s their choice, not everyone else. You don t like gay's? ok, i m cool with it but don t try to make that illegal. Goes the same for lesbians.
I'm not wondering if it's not something along the lines of how some places in Vegas wont marry certain couples due to their home country / nationality...
I think Amsterdam has this too ... not recognizing marriage legally if it's performed there for out-of country couples...
Still.. this IS quite dismaying for quite a few people .... tho it would make a modicum of morbid sense ... if it's not legal where ever some one may be .. it's just not legal..... so what would be the point for the couple to come to Canada, if it'd never be recognized back home anyways ...
I'd class it less as hostile government policy and more as an issue of a legal grey area resulting in a boneheaded move by some court official that backfired when people were willing to fight on the issue. Thus I get the impression that people are blowing it somewhat out of proportion, as much as I'd like to nail down the Conservatives over it. This article implies that regardless of any potential fishy intentions leading up to this point, the government is not interested furthering any controversy over the matter and will be clarifying the legislation to ensure these marriages are fully recognized within Canada regardless of the homeland of the people involved. Though we'll see how things actually pan out over the next few weeks, fingers crossed.
This hasn't changed my feelings about Steve, about whom you can read all sorts of fascinating details at http://shitharperdid.ca/

It's time to overthrow the Prime Minister.
