Whining, feel free to skip

Editor is still editing, sorry about that. :P Shouldn't be too much longer though.
Anyhow.
I really wonder sometimes. So many people seem to think they're leaving me compliments when they're not. "Why didn't you post this earlier?" for example. I'm sure in their little brain they're expressing how much they love the fic and thus they are impatient to read more, and it's supposed to be all happy and fluffy.
It's NOT. I already beat myself up enough about how slow I am to update, thank you very much. I do NOT need people giving me grief about it in some back-assward attempt to "compliment" me on my work. And half the time I think that they're using the "compliment" as an excuse to hide their attempts to make me feel bad for not catering to their every whim.
I have the same kind of issues over on my plush/suit account with people who say "I want this". BUY IT THEN. It's usually for sale, that's a business account, I'm there to make money. But no, of course the people who say that never have any money, they just want me to give it to them for free, that's what "want" means. Begging for free crap doesn't make me happy, and neither does implying I'm too slow, or any of that other nonsense.
Look, if you want to compliment an author, artists, craftsperson, whatever, JUST COMPLIMENT THEM. All the attempts to manipulate, guilt trip, and emotionally blackmail them are annoying and stupid and not actually nice at all. A compliment is "this is good" or "I like this" not "zomgwtfbbq111!elleventy you need to update more!" And you REALLY are not complimenting them with "This would be better with X fetish/obsession of mine included" either, btw. That's just a dick move and you should never say it.

There are things of yours I would buy in a second if I could only afford it, and I don't see a problem with waiting on something because I know great things take time to make.
