as of late, my Fiance's Laptop has been bricked, only to be able to run a live OS of Opensuse due to the ever so famous "A disk read error has occoured. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot" message.....
well he was fiddling and to his surprise....Opensuse is installing to the hard drive just fine.. O.o...
Windows installation cds weren't able to even read the hdd as being there, and only reported a "no hard disk found" so he declared it a loss.
its a good thing he didint Frisbee it because if installing Linux boots off it fine, then he will install windows and we will have our super machine back! lets keep our fingers crossed it works!
