Seriously, another cold???

A sudden case of tickly throat last night has resulted in what appears to be my second cold of the season. Bleah. :/
I refuse to let this interfere with my holiday weekend, though. I have today to rest (although I'm determined to get SOME chores and writing done), so I'm hoping to get most of it booted back out by tomorrow.
Tomorrow, the husby and I are taking a friend to have lunch with my parents (he's moving soon and the folks want to see him one more time), and then hopefully on Monday we'll be out at the coast whale watching. The gray whales are migrating, and they can usually be seen from shore, so we're planning on taking lunch to a clifftop somewhere and settling in. With luck, we may even see a couple of friends that live in the area.
In other news, classes started this week at the university, and the first few days were hellish. I had professors yelling at me over things that I didn't even do. Seriously, I got yelled at by a prof from a department that I don't even buy for, because said prof didn't get any instructor resources from the publisher. O.o Yeah, it was one of THOSE weeks. Little wonder that I'm sick now, I suppose.
Cooking has been going pretty well. The husby has done some cooking too, making crockpot chili and cornbread one night, and chicken fajitas another night. I'd like to be the cook for tonight, if I can get up off the couch. O.o Willpower, willpower, willpower... caffeine... willpower, caffeine, willpower...
I haven't had much chance to go out taking pics so far this year, but if we get out this weekend, that will hopefully change.
