... when people use serious terms like AIDS or Rape in a joking matter. Honestly when has Rape EVER been funny and how can you joke about AIDS. It is NOT funny. Go ahead and call me overly sensitive if you wish but being a rape survivor and living with HIV/AIDS I dont find it at all funny or cute.


Honestly if take a moment and think about how harmful and hurtful words are especially when they are serious words with serious meanings and twist them into a joke then how do you expect rape victims to come forward when they feel they might be turned into a joke or someone that just got diagnosed with HIV/AIDS to take their diagnosis seriously.


I am not trying to kill fun I am just trying to remind people that words are very powerful things and we need to be mindful on how we use them and not just throw them around just we think it might be funny or cute because it is not.
