It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To...

Ello my lovelies.
Today is the day that I become fully responsible for the vessel I parade around in.
[That sounds a bit Dalek to me…]
That’s right the big 21. Funny thing is, it doesn’t even feel like my birthday. There’s no snow and it’s nearly 60 outside. I still haven’t had a chance to make my snow Dalek yet, there hasn’t been much snowfall all winter. It’s been very green here in Virginia.
So anyway, not much planned for today. Just chilling with my friend Jasmine, watching Classic Who and having tea and cake. Apparently all my coworkers thought I was going to go out and get drunk today. FFF, I have better things to do than to drink. Just because I can drink doesn’t mean I should. Also my family has a nasty history of alcoholism, and I should stay away from it except the occasional drink anyway. Besides, I think it tastes gross. I hate beer, I hate white wine, hate margaritas, hate the way tequila smells so it can’t taste that good… I just don’t like it. I would much rather have tea.
So yeah…people around here are bored so all they do is drink and fuck. My idea of parties and having fun are much different from people around here. I like to create art, drink tea, have intelligent conversations, and eat junkfood with my friends. People around here get drunk off their asses and then wake up feeling like they want to die and can’t remember anything that happened the night before or even how they got home. That’s their idea of fun…not mine.
Last night the power went out while I was taking my shower. My bathroom has no windows so it got hella dark. I was scared the Angels were coming for me. xD It came back on a few seconds later, thank god. Then this morning we lost power again, didn’t get it back until almost noon. Funny how electricity is one of those things where it’s like “oh no computer, no problem I’ll just surf on my…oh…”
So as it turns out, Jasmine couldn’t hang today, we are planning something tomorrow. I still haven’t had any of my birthday cake yet. I ate too much for dinner and couldn’t eat any more. So I’ll save it for later. My parents are already in bed, my mom is exhausted. xD
lol When I opened my presents from my mum and dad I kept asking "Is it an Ood?" "Did you get me an Ood for my birthday?!" Needless to say they didn't find it as funny as I did. All I could think about was this video while I was saying it.

So didn’t really do anything today but loaf and faff around. But that’s okay, sometimes doing nothing is nice. My last week here at work has been draining, and I had seen my first violent customer. Luckily we had an awesome manager on shift and he handled it very well. It’s nice to know if shit goes wrong, he will protect us.
Anyway I’m going to watch some Enterprise or something…perhaps dig into my cake.
