Life isn't so bad these days...
Sure, I have some rough spots along the way, and once in a while someone has a small issue with me, but, they end up being resolved amicably. All things considered, my world was destroyed and reborn, and I'm finally back on track again... sort'a. I'm making good progress at work. Hoping I keep getting good hours and earning enough to pay for last year's FC trip (having one half of your support withdrawn really left a dent in my recovery). When it looks safe to do so, I'm gonna search for a modern car (my 1973 Chevrolet Nova is still running, but, it needs some work to make it safe to drive). I'll be able to drive my friend to work in my own vehicle (as opposed to my older brother's), and vastly expand my ability to visit with other furs and possibly attend whatever meets still exist (just to catch up with everyfur).
Hoping all is well with everyone else! Pay Day is two days away! :D

Looking forward to getting together again, though, foxy! Hope you and Faine are doin' great! ^-^
We should try out the hookah bar up on Broadway called Al Omda the next time you're over and we have money.
It'd be my treat! ^-^
We look forward to when you can make your way back over to hang out again hun. Just keep us updated and let us know when you would like to do everything.
It'd solve my problems and I'd be driving a real-deal classic muscle car with power under the hood. :D I decided I'm going to keep it, and restore it--and add some nifty new modern features. Make it a true project car! :D
Me personally, I like the idea of resto-modding a car as opposed to a straight up restoration. Sure, if you sell it you won't get as much money, but if you're planning on keeping it, why not? It's just more for you to enjoy!
I can't see the car staying the way it is. There's a great deal of interior work which needs to be done, just about everything under the hood and elsewhere could stand a mechanic's examination. My mechanic/house-mate says he could probably find an engine for around $800 to drop in it and be done with all the issues the current engine seems to have (the transmission needs work, as well). I plan to resto-mod the car, as the funds become available--add and replace here and there. When I'm done with it, I'll roll that thing into some nice car shows and see where it gets me. :D
I'd -love- to get it involved in raceway tests, when it's time to put money where my mouth is.
I've been wanting to get to a track to get some seat time. I found one, It's far, but the costs are cheap ($20 for a session!); a few friends of mine in the automotive program I'm a part of go just about every other week, or so I'm told. I'll probably be joining them every now and then. :D
One of these days, man. One of these days! I want to make mine silent, too. Loud is oldschool: Silent is assassin-style deadly--just like the 'Sharek' character concept. Have any tips on sound dampening a loud-arse engine? d: Doubt there's much I could do, but, I still want to try. *grins*
Gonna look forward to the day we hear stories of Sophia tearing up the track!
Hmm, as far as sound dampening? I would think using a chambered muffler as opposed to a straight through type, and multiple resonators would help. There's a company called Dynomax performance who makes this resonator that keeps the sound low...until you put your foot in it. Nissan uses this same kind of tech for their performance cars, if I'm not mistaken.

I'll make sure to upload stuff when she's out on the track!
Oh, here's a video example of that muffler I was talking about. That guy is running his with basically a straight pipe and the Dynomax VT muffler, so you can imagine how much quieter it'd be with a resonator and other mufflers.
