You really need to call your senators and congresspeople, people.
Maybe you've never been very politically active, and figure why start now.
Maybe you think this is a lot of fuss over nothing.
Maybe you think there's always a crisis and this one's no different.
Maybe you think this won't affect you.
I'm here to tell you that this isn't a time for "maybe". If you let this one slip by without responding, it had better be a conscious decision, because your inaction could contribute to a serious problem. The short version: SOPA and PIPA are huge overreaches of power by greedy corporate interests that could have grievous consequences for the survival of the right to free speech on the internet.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation's website makes it easy to write to your representative and senators and voice your opposition to SOPA and PIPA.
