Going for a pre-built laptop?
I can't really make much of a recommendation on that department.
Even custom built I can't say much as I've never put a laptop together.

Built mine. Can play Skyrim @ Max. I love my PC.

If you build your own the best CPU to get is the Intel 2500k Sandy Bridge.

Quad Core and Board ASUS. I love mine.

Welcome back! I've had my Gateway for about four years now, but I've also heard good things about ASUS laptops. I'm looking to pick one up myself once this one finally wears out.

Welcome back, glad to hear about the new power supply you got for your computer! Also, I didn't know you work at Gamestop. I've actually got a friend from one of my classes at college that works in one of the 3 Gamestop stores in my area. :)

Unfortunately, I can't really be of any help to you regarding what brand of laptop to get. I will say that I've got a Gateway laptop running on Windows Profesional, which I've used for over 2 years now, and have never had any problems with (so far, at least).
