My sister had a Persian cat named Fluffy...
I had a pet domestic mouse named Mr. Jingles and one day he was out in his running ball like usual, when the lid popped off during his run and no one was watching. The cat had him in her mouth, and surprisingly, he survived. He was bald for a while, but he made it lol.
So sorry for your loss again, things just happen... at least he had a pleasant life short-lived, and a loving, caring owner like you ^^
