I'm just kinda tempted to give up posting my art.. I mean. I struggle just to get people to REQUEST shit from me... No one gives me donations or tips, no one will actually BUY art from me even if I get it done THAT DAY.
I dunno.. Maybe I'm just being stupid but I'm just tempted to give up on trying. I mean, I'm not that great.. If I was maybe I would actually get people commissioning me.

I remember i used to get soooooo upset when people who's art was scribbles compared to mine, but yet they were racking in the commissions...
Why not try posting something to see what people want to see more of so you can get a view on what people would like to see. That way you can appeal towards your watchers as well :3
I had to play around with a lot of things before anything ever got anywhere.
Besides, how do you feel about your art?
I personally think your art is adorable, and i would commission you if i wasn't broke off my arse ;-;
A true artist is WAY to hard on themselves. other people see the art as amazing while the artist sees it as chicken scratch... I do that all the time... >_>

And as for being an artist at heart? I guess you're right, I mean ever since I was able to hold a pencil, I've been drawing. And ever since I was little, my dream job was to be an artist.
Then keep doing what you want to do, dont let the little things such as commissions get you down.
I'm sure you'll start raking in the commissions, you just need more watchers

Post things speratically throughout the day.
I've noticed that during certain hours of the day when i post, no one even looks t it, but other times i get commissions and comments. :3
I can't help with the commissions or tips though. I'm flat out broke right now. I think a lot of people are... Even crazy amazing, should be able to live off of their art artists are not getting a lot of commissions lately.

Yeah.. I can understand that, the economy is going to shit. That and most people I know are either almost homeless or can't afford anything other than bills and food.

Your art is very..shall we say, odd.
Most of your works you have put time into are odd-key, (Icon, for example. Holding a heart in your hand. Not very tempting.) You have the ponies and such, which is starting to become better. Many furries here aren't into violence; they're into all their kinky little fetishes. Sex sells, to be blunt.
Yes the economy is bad. People also like free art. Advertise it more.
Most of the stuff I spend time on is either *really* happy or *really* sad. Frankly, I don't see what is so odd about it.
And also, I'm not drawing porn. I'm just.. Meh. I get into moods where I want to draw it SOMETIMES but I would never take comissions for it. It's just not really my thing.

Yes your icon is weird. But look at it this way. The first thing anybody sees when they click your name or go to your profile is your icon. People are stupid; they judge you by your icon. If it matches your art style they assume that that's what you like.
Take it with heavy salt dosage though.
