Racing this year?
Alright so as very few of you probably know. I race motocross. A lot of people confuse this with BMX. I hate the comparison. I race motorcycles on dirt... I guess. Anyway, I was in 2 accidents last year and spent over 2 months in the hospital. I could type up my story of last year as I went through a lot but I’ll spare the details for the sake of being you guys losing interest half way through my journal. Long story short, My first accident was in May where I hit a big jump(yet for the sake of not sounding stupid to other riders reading, A 110ft double) This jump is very big considering I race SX(supercross) Yeah like on TV. Anyway I overshot(went way to far and busted my nuts when I landed) the jump and messed my knee up(I dont wear knee braces and still dont) I ended up leaving the track with a few scrapes and finished the night off placing 5th overall in my class. My knee began to swell and I had to go to the doctors to have it drained, after a while it turned out to be infected and I had to have surgery. So after I was released from the hospital i wanted nothing more but to get better and faster at MX. I had my sponsors hook me up with new parts and one of my sponsors; Decal Works; hooked me up with the beautiful design and plastics I have in the picture here- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7265298
Anyways, I kept racing and was getting tremendously faster because I had more motivation than before. This motivation led to another accident that took place on August 20th 2011. I was going through a rhythm section and lost control of my bike, getting thrown into a barrel roll and over the bars in an accident. I landed on the landing of one jump and made my way to the next. I ended up breaking my left Femur(biggest bone in your body/thigh) and dislocating my right shoulder. I was taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance after the medics got my leg out from behind my back.(yeah I broke my femur in 4 places and had 6 fractures) anyways I ended up spending 2 months in the hospital and rehab and another month in a wheelchair afterwards. I ended up missing school and lots of opportunities I wont get a second chance at. From the moment I crashed I still wanted to race. I happen to be a minor and my mom called it quits. My dirt scoot(Motorcycle/dirtbike/bike) is sitting in my garage with multiple injuries itself. I never let it go when it comes to my mom making me quit. I think I’m on the verge of her letting me race again this spring. I still have to get my bike fixed, I still have a few months to recover, and I need to hear what the doctor has to say. So I ask you guys... should I keep at it? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below!

Just as long as you enjoy it. It's nobody's priority to stop you from doing something you love doing. Despite motocross being dangerous I'm pretty sure you can be less fearfull having experienced pain before.
