Yeaaa... I've gotten that way now sadly. What really burned me was not getting the foam base to replace Delilah :( I miss acting like a dumb cat.

I always get a receipt and I only buy from artists I have seen are actively attending a large portions of conventions or they have earned a gold star reputation. I rarely buy from unknown artists now because of this very problem.

I paid over paypal, but you can only dispute under 45 days. She actually sold quite a few fursuits, and I HAD bought a head from her before with no problems at all.

Why hesitant? You can just ask to pay after they complete it so you're not cheated out of your money. If they resfuse, well, that's them losing business/monnies hm?

I feel like trying to commission someone with a zero deposit is just as bad, from the artists standpoint. There are just as many shitty lame ass scammer commissioners as there are shitty take your money and run artists. Unless you know the person, its always a toss up. I've had money taken before with nothing to show for it, so once bitten twice shy.

I know. :) I'm just super cautious because I can't stand the thought of throwing money away. I pretty much only commission people I know are trustworthy on the extremely rare occasion I buy arts.

I got one email from her right after she ended up on A_B but nothing since then. She emailed to say she'd get either the head form or the money to me and I told her to forget the head and just send me a refund. I didn't expect her to follow through. >.< Would have been nice though.
