Let me actually use this thing!
Ok! My first ever con is over, and these are my thoughts.
Well, I really really enjoyed the last three days of the con, I met some of my favorite artists, made sketches for them and got sketches in return.
Additionally to the people I already knew I met some new ones, like the most awesome Ultraviolet, who is just as sweet and nice as I have been told, as well as Shinigamigirl, Akeyla, Alpha Ki (Not really new but I didn't really talk a lot to her before. Which I should be ashamed for. *sadface*), Khaosdog, Nelena and a bunch as other wonderful people. Also Blackdragon, who I learned will move to N�rnberg soon, which is great, we'll spend a lot of time watching movies and drawing. XD
I was only day guest, so I technically couldn't sleep at the con side, but I was allowed to linger around as long as I don't sleep. So Blackdragon and me sat down into a room and talked for about 9 hours. (Well. She talked, while I mostly listened, but it was really impressive. I never quite met someone who was half asleep and still able to coherently explain the storyline of an anime series down to the tiniest detail. :>)
Mostly I only hung out with the artists to draw and talk, I really didn't care for any events, so yes.
I was impressed by the sheer number of people there. There were so many faces and names I never saw. I also have to admit that I saw an example of pretty much every negative aspect of furry, but it was funny in a morbid kind of way.
Also, I pretty much decided that if I go to the next con, I'll get a desk at the dealer's den.
I bought some prints from Bloodhound Omega, Ultraviolet and Thornwolf. Also a pin of a dragon from Blackdragon. XD
You should look out for the artists prints on furbid! Especially Blackdragon's. Go buy them.
