Welcome to the public spotlight. That's the trouble when you step into it, you open yourself up to every good, bad, crummy, rotten, awesome, ego-building, helpful, unhelpful, and asshole comment that's out there.

Using my  chrisfoxx fursona, I've been writing Sabrina Online: The Story at www.chrisfoxx.com since 1997 and been live with it since January of 1999. When I began learning to draw and went public with that, I've gotten all manner of comments and criticisms, from awe-inspiring to good to bad to downright rude to a couple of people where one saw me as a college anime geek fapping on the Internet (there was no Internet when I was in college in 1979) and the other hoped a serial killer would find My Good Self and my family.

The trick is in knowing how to take these negative criticisms, and that takes time. If you feel the criticism is valid, thank him for his time and mention which points you agree with, and why. If it misses the mark, professionally explain why. If it's an asshole comment or a flame, delete it, or just plain ignore it; no reason to fuel the fire. Y'see, people who slam you and your work usually can't do the work themselves; they can also attack you from the bravery they have of sitting anonymously behind their computer monitor and keyboard and behave like spoiled trailer trash children in filled diapers.

You run with that yourself and repost your novel. If the others don't like it, they don't have to read it. Eff 'em, and break their window.

thank you very much for all that. what anoyed me is the fact he critisised 50 paragraphs on things i all ready knew.. i hadnt updated the chapter since i was 14 so i knew obviously it would be realy bad but it was the way he critasised,it was unnesesarily nesty. but thank you very much for your advice and help. i have now reposted the chaoter and 5 others on DA, ive only got round to editing and improving 4 though but i will do with the others soon. so if u want to go look and read, feel free and feel free to give comments, helpful critism (lol) and advice ^^
