Australian Tour! April info Pre-post furdu plans!
So we're a week into our tour and things have certainly been... interesting! It's been a whole lot of fun and seeing and staying in the rural parts of Australia; you certainly get an appreciation of the diverse costal to country landscape bringing an even more diverse arrangement of animals. As you're driving down the road, wedge tailed eagles swoop your car taking cheap thrills off the back-wash of air whilst you pass a pack of emus just chilling out by the side of the road. Cows and Horse farms separate the kilometers upon kilometers of sugar cain and wheat farms. But honestly, it all becomes background noise as I sleep in the car for most of the trips :P
Motel life is certainly a game of chance, you climb into bed praying to god that the reason your sheets are stiff are because they're brand new and not because it's crusted with spunk. Nothing more fun then getting comfy in bed and then playing the nervous game of "Is that MY pubic hair?" We've stayed at some pretty seedy places, one conveniently positioned on the back of a graveyard which Im sure is quite the appeal for all the truckers looking for a place where they wont have to drag a dead hooker far.
There is an awful sense of local pride here and a lot of the places we have been people have been incredibly friendly... you do however come across a few single toothed rednecks who probably wouldn't need their kangaroo shooting rifle to scare you away if their extensive knowledge of offensive language and leathery skinned scowls had something to say.
I don't know if it's because I have a lot of time or because I dont have the internet and WoW to distract me, but I certainly have been a lot more conversational online.. if folks want to chat whilst I am on the road I am on AIM : Treedrake and MSN: treedrake[at]gmail.com :) Understand that due to the rural area, I dont always have service and disconnect a bit from time to time.
From here, we are heading to AYR > TOWNSVILLE > CAIRNS > INGAM > PROSPINE > GLADSTONE > GYMPIE > SUNSHINE COAST in queensland before being home in brisbane for about 10 days before heading to GUNNEDAH > TAMWORTH > ARMIDALE > PORT MAQUARRIE > TAREE > NEWCASTLE > KENGSINGTON > WOLLONGONG > NOWRA > CANBERRA > BATHURST > ORANGE > DUBBO In NSW before shooting over to GRIFFITH > WAGGA WAGGA > ALBURY > WANGARATTA > SHEPPARATON > BENDIGO > BALLARAT > COLAC > WARRNAMBOOL in VIC before heading to South australia with MOUNT GAMBIER > NORLUNGA > ADELIADE > WHYALLA then spending a few days in adeliade then comming home on the 2nd of april. if folks are local to any of those places and want to catch up! get hold of me :) would be nice to see some friendly faces!
FURDU is comming along great, we've got some massive exciting things to announce... the new schedule is on it's way and rego's are filling up faster than we anticipated. Super sponser places have like 1 space left and i think we're approaching the 70% on the plain rego. Still got a long ways to go; lots of entertainment to really set new heights for furDU!
APRIL PLANS
After furdu, I will be organizing some adventures for our interstate friends, trips to theme parks, city tour and probably the occasional visit to game-places and dinners. Please get in touch if you want invites to this things! I cant keep solid track of who is staying in brisbane after the con :)
Anyways, that should be enough a wall of text for you guys for now
Miss ya's all and many love for those who want it ^^
-Drake :)

I don't believe we've chatted before (although I think I saw you around the place at FurDU last year!) but I always love meeting other dragons
... oh wait.
I was going to FurDu but dad's not well in Japan and I might have to go over so I had to cancel my hotel booking :(
No rest for the wicked as they say.
