it would have been better if they'd just redone symphonia into itself + ToS2.

And XIII-2 wouldn't really count as the main series if anything like X-2 happens. :P

Both games has a main girl and a main guy. Both games the girl has this special thing to her that puts her life at risk. Both games the guy has something you don't learn until late in. Both games you can catch monsters, level them up and add them to your party. Both games the old playable characters are kind of yea.

Eh... I'd think the argument would probably have held more water if the "upbeat and cheerful girl who knows when to get serious" and "girly looking guy so isn't as he seems" character descriptions weren't so utterly prevalent in Japanese media. I'm sure someone with more knowledge about Japanese stuff than me could name over a dozen different shows that feature those two character types as main characters without ever leaving Anime.

in my opinion the ending of XIII was already great.. but FFXIII-2 just..i dunno it made things even just more gloomier
FFX-2 was a good sequel with a much happier mood and stuff

I personally felt that the ending for 13 had so much BS pulled out of its ass. I mean a ending where everyone turned to crystal and dreamed forever, leaving way for humanity to rebuild itself once more from their self sacrifice would have been better.

But no, they all somehow turned back to human and Serah and Dajh were even there somehow.

I know right? Well not to mention they killed Serah.. in XIII-2 and also lightning :/ leaving Noel and the crew left and stuff.

Though i'm waiting for that Versus XIII and Type-0 if it's worth playing

Well Most Final Fantasy's have a happy ending. Sure I was a bit sad because (in my opinion) Serah was awesome but it had such a dramatic change that it felt really welcome.

I saw this correlation immediately. The difference is that 13-2happens to be held in higher regard than its predecessor, while the opposite holds true for Dawn of the New World.
