Casting Call Quiz!

I've been playing around with ideas the last few days, drawing up characters, and I just might wind up starting something pokemon-related. However, I still need a few more characters, some important, some just around-town folks. So! What I'd like to hear from you folks is: What's your favorite pokemon, and why? No need for specific characters, just which pokemon as a whole are your favorite? Make me a convincing case, and I just might do something about them :)
For instance, my favorite is Ivysaur! They're quadrupedal critters, which is something I just like, but with the vines, they've still got handy limbs to manipulate objects with. They've also got a lot of utility in their moves, like Razor Leaf to cut ropes or branches, and Sleep Powder for chilling out enemies, or even just helping a friend get some shut-eye :) And the extra fang bit is just cute, I've always liked that XD

FA+

-_> Plus, it's cute. xD
After that, I favor Infernape and Heracross. They're awesome fighter hybrids.
there just a few others that are par but dragonairs stand out
Not only was the Dark type new and pretty exciting, Houndoom just looked awesome. It tore through four of my Pokemon before I finally took it down, so I knew it was powerful too, and while it's not particularly high-end, I just find it's fun to use: great but not game-breaking stats and moves. I even still like its name. Heck, my first RP character ever was an anthro Houndoom.
...But since it's a little predictable for the dog to suggest a Hell hound...
One of my other favorites is Blaziken. Another Pokemon that made a good first impression on me and followed it up with being both stylish and powerful. How awesome would it be to see it in action: kung-fu moves that hit hard and fast, plus fire? ...Yeah, I'm a bit of a pyro when it comes to my preferred Pokemon. It also looks like it'd be right at home in any fighting game, especially over-the-top games like Street Fighter and Smash Bros. Also, on a smaller note, Blaziken was in this commercial, one of my favorite game commercials ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=br0ErE0BGU0
In fact, to make a character based on one a tad more unique, perhaps its neck petals could look more like a four-leaf clover?
Jigglypuff is a cute little puffball whose talents go unappreciated due to unintended side effects. Though, I'm sure there'd be some way for a Jiggly to NOT put people to sleep with singing.
