They can but they don't need a stupid holiday to make them happy. Happiness dosnt come from a card or box of chocolates, not even a diamond, people need to learn to be a happy without this.

I'm not a huge fan of Valentines day either. I know it has its actual roots, but as of lately its become more about the crappy gifts people exchange and that's were Hallmark comes in...
Also, Id like to agree with you on the "it doesn't mean shit"
Basically according to the holiday your suppose to love someone more today then any other day in the year?

I've never been one to celebrate Valentine's. This is year is slightly different only due to the fact that me and the boyfriend are are going out to dinner at a slightly more fancy place then normal.

So i guess it's kind of a half assed celebration. No cards. No flowers. I got a commission in a Valentine's opening only because i realized we didn't have a sex commission yet. So yea, not really celebrating it...but we kindve are.

Just do what I do and remind everyone it was the day Saint Valentine was beheaded. XD It suddenly stops being special when they realize it's a death day like Saint Patrick's day.

Well Christmas and Easter have different backgrounds. Yes they have become commercialized but they hold a lot more meaning than Valentines.
