My teacher invited us to go Animal rescuing with her.
Now I can't stop thinking about Animal rescuing....but I can't join now! I have no time for that in school days....
She's a wild vet, Aquatic vet, forensic vet.....everything vet. She's so awesome and she's my idol too...
Today, in her class, she was telling us some stories of her rescuing missions. I was sitting and listening in awe as she told us about what she does.
And then she ended the class with "If anybody is interested to go on a Rescuing mission with me, You're welcome to join!"
That phrase jolted back my long-forgotten childhood dreams... when I used to watch animal rescuing shows and worship those people as real-life heroes... (instead of watching anime like my classmates did....) Oh, how I've wanted to become one of those animal people.
Now here's the chance!
but now I'm hesitating... Is it dangerous? I mean the danger other than the danger from animals?
I mean, this job will make me enemies, right?
And quite a few of awesome people who fought for environment were assassinated by those who lost their profits from their activities.
I'm scared.
but I want to.....
but I'm scared.
...still want.
Anyway, I can't really go RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT because it's school days. I need to study. I have sometime to think about it, I might just tag along for a few missions or something.
I also still owe her a graduating project proposal about wild otters. Making things more awkward than it has to be. XD I haven't touched the project since last time I talked to her about it...which is...month ago? (well, there are some problems that have to solve first. So, no progress at all.)
....still want.

If you doo it will have some danger, but that is part of the adventure. Remember the bird you felt die in your hands? You can't save everyone, but you can save some. Go and save those you have a chance to. You will be the better for it.
I have more thoughts on this if you would like to hear.
Thank you. That is very...convincing... I'll have to try to manage the time this vacation just for this. The downside is the rescuing missions have no specific date, and if I'm out of the city when she calls, it's impossible to go.
I'd definitely like to hear more. :)
if you get the chance to go, always keep in mind to keep a low profile. The type of concerns you have are about people who are vocal about what they are doing and openly criticise when they are in someone elses turff, so to speak. Most groups that go out to help endangered animals dont have the advantage you have that is being lead by a professional so many are lead by zellots and are followed by undereducated know it alls. these are the groups that get into trouble. you should be fine in this reguard.
as for anyother dangers...well keep your head on your shoulders and eyes open and you may just find that some "dangers" are acctualy wonderful situations you can pass on as stories later as long as you dont try to pet anything that looks "cute"
and you know we will want to hear stories from any adventures you have.
That really make me feel a lot better. I'll give it a go. when ever she calls. :D
well, she did call me the first time already, and I went along with her too easily. (lol not really, just super fast decision.) I'll tell you about this activity in the next journal.
