When someone views a page, it's registered to the counter for the day. If that same person refreshes, their view doesn't count again. So they all just happened to visit the page before 10k and they all got it.

It's actually possible.
When the 10000th visitor arrived, it showed 10000 in everyone's computer, and if we were 3 to refresh at this time, it's totally possible. The 10001 then came with someone who haven't seen your page since then.

Go on any FA page and refresh it, see what happens. The number of pageviews won't change. That's why people are saying "the first who get the screencap" and not "the one who get the screencap" when they are doing what you were doing ^^

What others have said is true: the pageviews seem to be for each new person within a certain stretch of time. On the upside, someone with too much time on their hands can't keep hitting refresh to make the number go up--they have to get lucky and view it at the right time.

It registers one count per IP address over a certain span of time. I think it's 24 hours.

Well, speaking as one of the three winners, I can totally understand if you just want to go off the time stamp of whoever sent of the first screenshot. It's nice enough that you're willing to draw one picture. ^_^;
