If I can get some money together... I may consider going to FCN (It's actually within a manageable distance).
Problem is... I'm kind of hesitant to do so. Price is the biggest factor... and it doesn't help that I haven't been to an anthro convention before...

This'll be my first con too. I heavily suggest going, though. Most of the Michigan furs I've met are pretty cool and won't rape/murder/whine at you.
