It's NOT Spring Yet!
Why?Why is everyone so fascinated with Spring and Summer and Fall? What happened to Winter? That period of months where some climes are covered in beautiful, yet deadly blankets of snow and sheet of ice? How can anyone say they're sick of winter when we haven't even had any bad weather? It infuriates me that people don't appreciate the most peaceful time of the year. Nature stops harrasing us all with curious flying insects and prowling spiders and centipedes and almost no one is grateful. The sun and humidity stop combing to make life hell on some days, or everyday depending on where you live, but everyone just says "It's cold" and walks on.
I, for one, at least fully appreciate one season instead of cursing what's wrong with each one as they change. Or you could say I see the beauty and peace that the temporary death of the vast majority of nature brings to people who live where winter can embrace the land fully, but I resent the abscence of winter when it's gone. I am not totally opposed to other seasons, and I most prefer the moderate temperatures that come with spring and fall.
The scenery at other times of the year is nice, but summer is when I get most lost in thought. Staring at blue skies with sun blocked effectively by something leaves me with impossible thoughts of wanting to fly and l end up wasting hours sitting in my room and daydreaming. Getting lost in thought is pleasant at times, but it's also the most unproductive. Even playing video games can easily be more productive than staring out the window for hours. I'm also usually in a decidedly good mood after playing games; whereas being lost in thought is more often to leave me feeling blank or even depressed. Both occur in winter for me, but I'm more likely to play games than sit there, which is a personal reason why I like winter.
