Hmm..
Well I've been around on this place for about two months now, and there are a few things that made me think about this community. Some things bothersome, others interesting.
For one, this place is a very "weirdo-friendly" place for people like me =P Unlike deviantART were some people might find it weird of me drawing dragons or fantasy in general. Overthere you are more of a subculture, or subcategory, just like everything. On here you are more mainstream in terms of "uncommon forms" of animals or beings; anthros, dragons, felines, etc..
That makes this place interesting, as everybody is open to eachother having many things in common, and there is a great deal of artist on here that I'd never come across on deviantART, with astonishing works the way I like them best =]
However, and please don't feel offended as I do not plan to to anyone personally.. this site is also drenched with pornographic material oO.. Sometimes it looks more like porn is mainstream on here, rather than regular non adult stuff. Now first off there isn't anything wrong with porn (on most degrees), as it is natural and in a good way healthy to look at it and have your mind and body stimulated by it. But me, being a straight person, do have to admit I'm sometimes having a hard time on here =P
Anything non-straight is pretty much a turn-off for me, and I have to say I get alot of them heh. I don't have anything against those who draw or enjoy pictures with same sexes ofcourse, but to me it crossed my mind many times to turn on the mature filter again just because of it =P
So that can be a trouble for me heh. .. You people need to draw more straight stuff!! 8D
Other than that this is a pretty good place to go and look at things =]

Remember that you don't need to view the adult stuff to find good artists. On the other hand, if you enjoy the porn, just ignore me.

Yeah, that's pretty much all I got for now, aside from this; I'm trying to go straight, in a sense. The sense that I don't do anything "wrong" (PORN), not straight as in straight. As a line.
And yeh I think all the porn I draw doesn't help ^^
You did hit the nail on the head though. This place has become the fallout for porn artists. But then artists come along, such as yourself, who bring amazing art that does not need to be adult in nature, and people love it.
This place has its ups and downs, but we should try to look at the ups more often. =)
Of course, porn isn't everything... I actually prefer good clean art most of the time.
Now.. within there being mostly same-sex adult art around here, well that seems to be quite truthful; but that's pretty much something places like this "teach" you, to like things you never considered you'd like for the first place (of course, there are some that are really really extreme and you'd only ever like if for some reason you had it implanted deep within you *coughvore/gorecough*).
In my opinion, to be as "open" as to be in a place like this and like the community, but then as "closed" as to say that such kind of art is a turn off just because it's the same sex, is really just being way too contradictory and not giving it enough thought beyond the stereotypical "ewww gay secksing".
Nevertheless, while I do agree there needs to be some more happy straight art around here, I don't really mind having to rely on the bazillion -amazing- gay pieces there are *coughblotchcough*. "Lust" If you'd like to call it that way, does not differentiate between genders, so we should just enjoy whatever there is to enjoy, at least on our own minds.
Now if you really wish to know, I'd happily trade all that XXX-ness for cute-style stuff. Cute is awesome.
I'm openminded towards other people, I wont take away their fun ofcourse. But just like you, in the end, I'd trade all adult art for clean art aswell =]

It seems the subject that has caught -my- attention is this: More and more people seem to be realizing, or thinking about the "politics of drawing" on FA. People who get too deep with them end up leaving or writing journals that tend to leave a lingering uncertainty as to the individuals motives or intentions. For example, an artist frustrated over one style of drawing receiving more attention than the other. Or someone furious that X style of porn is acceptable because it is not acceptable to themselves. As for the whole Gay/Straight thing, I’d probably address that better in person than a comment or reply.
I'm happy I left art wise, least for now.
Seriously though, this site is one of those that is indeed centered around pornographic material, all the other sites mostly ban it now. I still remember the day porn was allowed on DA XD
And you could always help the straight porn cause ^^ Doesn't have to be you and Ria again, just whatever random dragons come to your mind :)
I have no problem with homo/hetero art. I'm not big on female/female stuff, but male/male stuff is all right to me, and I do like hetero stuff much more. But this site has really opened my mind. :) Things I found uncomfortable now no longer make me feel that way. There are still a few things I'm not used to, however.
But really, when it comes to this site and DA, I actually feel more comfortable here. Maybe it's because of the love and attention (and I'm not an attention-seeker). Not really sure. *shrug* :/
I think the only negative thing I can say about this website is the drama I see in journals and such. But I do my best to ignore that.
I myself draw... I guess you could call it porn, but I draw vore because it is not boring, I have a lot of characters I need to draw, a lot of tamer material, but its just so dull to work on. I do try to be equal opportunity in the mingling of the sexes though, I mostly prefer females in art myself and if left to my own devices mostly draw male/female and female/female pairings, so I hope I provide some stuff you care for.
And on a side note I really didn't read all the replies here so sorry if I am repeating someone.
