The Sea of Memories

fell asleep playing "The Memory of the Signs", which contains some lovely distorted power chords and deep lyrics typical of Bush as well as a strange post-modern underwater vibe, then woke up during "All-Night Doctors". there is nothing more beautiful than waking up to a warm sunset with your favorite hat on and grunge rock whispering into your ears. anyway, for those of you who happen to be grunge aficionados as well as people who've never heard of grunge rock, i strongly suggest picking this album up. most people will probably recognize "The Sound of Winter" from the radio, since it's the only damn Bush song radios ever seem to play. just take my advice and skip the album version of "The Afterlife"--the single version (actually released in 2009) is so much richer and deeper, and the message actually comes through much more clearly. also, if anyone's got the Target/British Release only tracks, i'd appreciate it if you could email those to me. fucking record labels trying to keep culture out of the hands of the consumers. anyway, Bush is literally my favorite band. like, my all-time favorite. hell, i actually enjoyed "The Science of Things" and "Golden State", and Golden State went way over most peoples' heads.
