Make sure to ask questions about situations that may come up in bar work, like what their policy/procedure is for breakages and cleanup, ask about security measures for dealing with violent drunks, etc. I got my last job as a shop assistant because they were impressed I was asking specific questions, like what I should do in case of refunds, what kind of cashier system it is (scanners or tallying up), etc.

Don't ask very obvious questions, but show you understand what the job is all about by asking the right questions like this. Good luck, my favorite job ever was bar work
