Now iTunes going all PC and changing up Derpy and making Hasbro look bad (bronies think Hasbro did it themselves and wanted to for some reason). That's a case where it might be more ok to get butthurt about it not being the same as the original x3

Yup, the politically correct people started getting mad about Derpy and saying that her character was Hasbro making fun of mentally handicapped people, so iTunes took down the episode with Derpy's appearance where she speaks and gets called Derpy for the first time, takes out the mention of the name Derpy and changes her eyes to be less derpy, and gives her a voice that doesn't really fit her at all. Hasbro says they don't plan to change Derpy and it'll still be just like it was on the DVD and rebroadcasts of the episode on TV.

Honestly my feelings about Derpy? She's generally supposed to be a background pony and here she is getting her moment. And if it turned out she really DID have a mental disability, wouldn't people be happy that she's one of the most beloved and accepted icons of the show that everyone wants to give a big old hug to?

Changing her like that makes it almost seem like they thought that who she really is and what she's like needs to be hidden. I kinda feel like they're hurting their own cause.

Bronies love Derpy Hooves, whether she's just clumsy or handicapped, they love the crap out of her, why is that so bad?

Yeah, it isn't just her getting made fun of anyway. EVERYPONY is the source of plenty of jokes here and there.

I would think that changing Derpy would be some kind of copyright infringement anyway, whatever legal protection that Hasbro has on MLP characters. >:c

True, I mean what next? Rainbow Dash has to change her mane because the rainbow "promotes homosexuality"? Pinkie Pie doesn't get to party anymore because "too many partiers go out and get drunk"?

I mean come on people...if a show does something to blatantly offend people or does something so completely careless that it's bound to offend anyone if the creators notice the problem easily and do nothing about it, THEN I'd have a problem.

Here they gave this special little pony the spotlight and made people love her more, if Hasbro was out to piss people off and insult someone through a show that's meant to promote love and tolerance...I mean come on they're not x.x
