Okay, so for awhile now I've been hearing about some kind of controversy with Derpy Hoove's speaking role, and honestly I didn't really understand what the problem was...I seriously thought people were just getting mad over her voice not being what they wanted or something. I finally discovered that APPARENTLY some people were concerned that she seemed ACTUALLY mentally handicapped...XD
So like....Overlooking all other facts about this...So what if she is? XD She was freaking ADORABLE! Rainbow Dash seemed to have more of a big sister attitude with her...Kinda annoyed but seemed to care about her anyways. I mean, isn't it slightly MORE offensive to say no mentally handicapped characters can appear on TV? Isn't that basically discriminating against them and bringing focus to their disabilities? Wouldn't it be BETTER to have loveable characters like that so people might see qualities like that more as endearing, rather than something taboo to even really mention?

It makes me loose a little faith in humanity but I am starting to get over it, as long as we remember what she really means she will live on in our hearts.
