Utter BS

Ok, after having just lost my eldest snake, Ruby, I was informed today when paying rent that suddenly our apartment has a no snake policy that -mysteriously- had been there from the day I moved in but was never mentioned, or seen in writing.
Now, we only had Ruby when we moved in, Evergreen was found later and adopted by us.
We were told that the entire complex was a no pet policy, save for medical use pets (seeing eye dogs, medically allowed pets cause of other disabilites, etc), but that snakes were OK because they didn't get out and make messes like a cat or dog might.
We've had 4 different managers at this complex, the newest one afraid of snakes. So, i'm pretty sure I know why this addendum is now in place, bitch.
I have been a very good tenant. Better than most, and have been told so. Now your going to pull this BS on me?
I just lost Ruby, and you're going to tell me I can't keep my only baby? You've changed rules to allow for ONE pet per apartment, dogs and cats shitting all over the complex, and you tell them they need to pick up after the pets, but don't enforce it with a pet ban...yet my snake, who stays in her little home until I fee her mice...who hasn't ever made a mess and will get no larger that 2 ft long, is not allowed?
Fuck you to hell and back, you wrinkled old sow. We only moved into this complex because we were told having a snake pet was ok.
Then you come in and start changing rules without telling anyone. I saw the last rules addendum. There was NOTHING about snakes written. Only about kids not riding their skateboards on the property, and to stop throwing cigarette butts on the parking lot.
How dare you shove this in my face. I am the only tenant with a snake, so i know this out of the blue rule is aimed at me.
I'm just so furious right now. I was hoping March would be a better month. It's not shaping out to be so far. :(

FA+

if you have something in writing stating your snake was fine when you moved in, the only way he can enforce the policy is to break your lease and renew it under the new conditions.
But she's the one afraid of snakes, and no one ever complained about us having snakes until today.
I mentioned we only had one, now, since Ruby died Wednesday morning. She wanted pics of everyone's pets on file. Why is beyond me.
I mentioned getting a pic of Evergreen to her ASAP, and that's when she throws the 'no snakes allowed' BS on me. I asked her since when, and she said it was always like that.
One, I know that's bullshit because it was ok when I moved in long before she became the manager here.
Two, if it WAS always that way, it wouldn't have been called a pet 'addendum'.
Does she think I'm that fucking stupid?
I know one or two that could give her the love she deserves, but not sure they'd want another pet. And they live out of stat, so... :P
So, landlady can kiss it. I'm keeping my snake and she can't legally stop me.
