Take it easy Trey :) These things come with practice. Take it slow, and master the pen finger flip. The swap between Pen tip and Eraser tip becomes your friend quickly :D Atleast to me it does.

it also seems that you are trying to get a full masterpiece right off the back, it doesn't work like that, take shit slow. Start with mastering your shapes through gestures get your poses right, then work towards practicing faces/expressions/ feet/hands/ bodies respectively. Be patient, Art requires a lot of patience, if you don't have that this field isn't right for you. slow and steady practice and looking at tutorials on FA/youtube and such also does help.

Well, I wish drawing was something like what has gone on in most of my life. I've never really had to try very hard to succeed at what I wanted to do. Maybe this is why I get so frustrated with doing this, everything else seemed to come so easily but when I try just a little bit to draw absolutely anything I feel like im a failure and will never be able to draw anything at all...

never feel like a failure cause what you are trying to put on paper isn't coming out exactly they way you want it, hell i have had days where i cannot draw anything. Just keep at it, you'll get better, everything with drawing takes practice.

I just wish I had the patience or time that an artist like you has, I can tell you spend quite a bit of time on your art and I don't have that luxury If it's not work then it's school, if it's not school then it's sports, if it's not sports then it's family...I feel like my time for drawing is 5 minutes at the most, and that 5 minutes is frustrating as hell...

I spend late nights on the weekends with practicing and studying my art, I'm usually pretty busy during the weekdays constantly working on commissions so i don't have much time to acutally work on things for myself.

I always buy art books and just read everything about them i watch livestreams of other artists to see how they colour and shade, i usually am doing other things while doing this, I tend to multitask frequently. Sadly I have a shit sleep schedule but to do something I love it is worth it.

If I could do anything have drawing be something I love I would haha. You know, maybe ill talk to you on Xbox or something some night to get a few tips or something about it just so I have a base to start off of. I really appreciate you taking the time to actually talk to me somewhat about it, eventhough I have no clue how you found my journal
